We publish both numbers. The case dimensions (the packing body only) are 15.5 x 13 x 8 in. The overall dimensions, which include wheels and carry handles, are 17.5 x 14.5 x 8.5 in. When airlines publish size limits they mean the overall size, so compare the overall number to your airline's limit.
On most U.S. airlines it fits the personal-item role (the bag that goes under the seat), which can let you bring a full-size carry-on too. Some airlines publish personal-item limits smaller than their underseat space, so check your carrier. Our airline size guide is a good starting point.
Yes, the padded sleeve fits laptops up to 14 inches. That covers 13 and 14 inch models such as the MacBook Air 13, MacBook Pro 14, Dell XPS 13 and 14, and ThinkPad X1 Carbon. 15 and 16 inch laptops will not fit the sleeve. Screen size is the guide; a slim sleeve or case on the laptop usually still fits.

Use a 50/50 mixture of alcohol and water, apply with a soft cloth, and gently rub the affected area until the spot lifts. Let the bag air dry completely before storing. A little lemon juice in the mixture freshens the fabric. More care tips are in our customer FAQ.

"Size is good, I am past the age of carrying a backpack, so expected to adapt willingly. The carryon easily fit under “comfort” middle seat for delta, unsure that it would fit under main cabin seat, but would definitely fit in overhead. Need a wider band for stability when stacking on top of spinner."
"I normally use a backpack for my electronics (Mac, iPad, etc) and have always used a Nike small duffel bag as carry-ons. I purchased this RoundTrip Rolling UnderSeat Carry-on as a replacement for the duffel. It is working perfectly. Has more space, is certainly well-built, zippered side pockets + a zippered top/front and is quite sufficient for a week’s worth of clothes. I have 2 other TravelPro RollerBoards for longer trips. Everything from them is absolutely top-notch, and would very highly recommend without hesitation. My only ‘modification I did was cut out the internal padded laptop, which I didn’t need (considering my backpack use). Wasn’t that hard to do and it gave me extra internal space. Therefore, I’d recommend the mfgr provide for that to be a zippered-in removable option (for those like me w/a backpack). Other than that (for which I reduced my recommendation by 1 star), this is, for me, a wonderful (and permanent) addition to my other 2 TravelPros."
"Initial unit had broken snaps. Sent it back. Replacement unit had same issue. Couldn’t use it for planned travel. Waiting on 3rd unit to be delivered. Customer service’s return communication was confusing and also tried to say it was only cosmetic. Told me to return bad unit, gave me a refund while shipping the first bad replacement. Finally supervisor said they would give me a third unit with no warranty since they didn’t know I was issued a refund already. I would send back the bad one I ended up with but don’t have packaging. Worst experience (not joking) with quality of a product that has supposedly a good reputation but all made in China."
"I wish I bought this years ago to replace my backpack . I carry 2 laptops and an iPad plus misc travel related materials . This takes a huge load off my back plus it rolls easily through airports. It’s a snug fit under seats but easily fits in overhead bins. Highly recommend"
